Have you heard about banning plastic bags in the news? ecokids blog from Canada has a post about China banning plastic bags. Whole Foods has announced they will be banning plastic bags. I just purchased reusable bags at Publix ($1 a bag) for my grocery adventures. At this blog, you can see a YouTube video which highlights making bags out of recyclable bags. If you start looking more closely, you will see how the global movement to recycle is right in your neighborhood.

Banning Plastic Bags

I think that's a good idea. The movie's cool too! If we do the Booster shop we can sell those! I have plastic bags @ home that I'll use after we shop with them but they end up in the trash anyway. So if everybody could use the plastic bags they have and make the reusable bags and not get MORE plastic bags that would help a lot!
Wow. Are you thinking about making a bag out of reusable plastic bags? That would be impressive. I would love to see it, and we could highlight it at lunch time, showing the other kids what Sign and Save is up to.
Hi guys! It is me! Kang! I changed my nickname because it fits in with Save and Sign. I don't think we can BAN plastic bags, but we can certainly re-use them! I use them at home and even the car for disposal usage and I throw them into the recycle bin. I think we should go to Kroger, Harris Teeter, Publix etc. and use like nylon bags, wool bags, or knitted bags that don't need to be thrown away. OR we should think of this bag return program. In my idea, that is when you return plastic bags at the store so the other people can use it. These are my thoughts.

snowbird! dino thinking green! be optimistic! save and sign is a big club now and if we put our minds to it we can probably ban plastic bags! we'd still have them every now and then for trash but not that much. like there could be a grou hat once a month they end out a few plastic bags to every home nashville(or TN). that way people still have plastic bags but not a lot! save and sign has already changed lives so why cant we do what we put our minds to? B save and sign frienly and supportive and you will get far in life!
I think that is a very good idea. The only problem is that we need a lot of bags to make a "bag". So everyone just save up and we could have a day where we could bring in all of our ironed platic and iron them together into bags. Bye, Bye!!
